May 02, 2025: Randolph, NJ – nourish.NJ’s 2025 Hunger Walk & Run has come and gone, but its impact will last far beyond the finish line. Hosted on Sunday, April 27 at County College of Morris, this year’s event brought together over 500 passionate community members from Morris County and beyond. Together, they walked, ran, cheered, donated, and fundraised to support nourish.NJ in providing an average of 800 meals daily to neighbors facing hunger—365 days a year, no questions asked.
The event marked a milestone with the successful debut of the First Annual Hunger Run 5K
Race, adding to the local Hunger Walk tradition. The morning began with a warm-up led by
Andy Cope of Cope Sports Performance & Personal Training, followed by the race at 10:00 AM. Runners and walkers of all ages then joined together at noon for the Hunger Walk, just under a mile long. Attendees enjoyed family-friendly activities like face painting, music, food and ice cream trucks, and an interactive exhibit highlighting the experiences of local families facing hunger and poverty.
While the event has wrapped, the fight against hunger continues. More and more in Morris County, where 1 in 3 families struggle to afford basic necessities, are turning to nourish.NJ as the need continues to grow. Every dollar donated to nourish.NJ helps provide access to fresh food and social services. To donate or learn more, visit www.nourishnj.org.
